Whitewater kept a clean sheet against Troup County on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Troup County Tigers. Give the Wildcats' defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

Maddox Strickland and Ryan Daniel scored all three of Whitewater's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Whitewater pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four matchups. As for Troup County, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-6.

Looking ahead, Whitewater will take on Mary Persons at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mary Persons will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Whitewater surely won't give up without a fight. As for Troup County, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Troup County face off against Spalding at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. They will be up against Spalding's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.5 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
