Basketball Game Preview: Firebaugh Falcons vs. Bellflower Buccaneers

Firebaugh hasn't had much luck against Bellflower recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Firebaugh Falcons are taking a road trip to square off against the Bellflower Buccaneers at 5:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Firebaugh is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 20th straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They lost 36-10 to Dominguez. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1317th, while the Dons are ranked 384th).

Meanwhile, Bellflower was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Norwalk, falling 55-32.

Firebaugh's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Bellflower, their loss dropped their record down to 3-17.

Firebaugh was dealt a bruising 62-13 defeat at the hands of Bellflower in their previous meeting on January 15th. Can Firebaugh avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
