Recap: Otay Ranch Mustangs vs. O'Farrell Charter Falcons
The Otay Ranch Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 22 points or more this season. They blew past O'Farrell Charter, posting a 56-23 win on the road. The win was familiar territory for Otay Ranch who now have three in a row.
Otay Ranch was led to victory by Anaya Carter and Mya Bermudez. Carter dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds, while Bermudez scored 17 points along with seven steals and five assists. Carter is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Maleah Porch was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
Otay Ranch has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for O'Farrell Charter, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9-1.
Otay Ranch and Eastlake will face off at 3:00 p.m. on January 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Eastlake has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. O'Farrell Charter won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Southwest SD at 12:00 p.m. on January 6th. Southwest SD is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
