Softball Recap: Tupelo Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Tupelo duked it out with Caney on Thursday. The Tigers came up short against the Cougars, falling 9-1. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Tupelo's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Caney, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Tupelo has already played their next game, a 4-1 win against Geronimo on the 11th. As for Caney, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Quinton at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
