Soccer Game Preview: St. Pius X Catholic vs. Tucker

The St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions will venture away from home to face off against the Tucker Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

St. Pius X Catholic's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Northview with a sharp 4-0 win. The Golden Lions have beaten the Titans the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Titans has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Tucker hadn't done well against Atlanta International recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Tucker had just enough and edged out Atlanta International 1-0. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Sarrive Ishiabwe, who's now up to 11 this season.

Tucker's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four games. As for St. Pius X Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
