The Blair County Christian Bobcats will square off against the Calvary Christian Academy Conquerors at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Blair County Christian: 26.8, Calvary Christian Academy: 25.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Blair County Christian beat Clearfield Alliance Christian 35-29. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while Clearfield Alliance Christian are ranked 635th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gabi Dull was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 16 boards. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Jena Kane was another key player, putting up eight points.
Blair County Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in ten consecutive matches dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Calvary Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 26-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of DuBois Christian. The contest marked the Conquerors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Blair County Christian will have to keep a close watch on Olivia Mills and Bethany Suttles, a pair of players who had a big impact on Calvary Christian Academy's prior game. Mills posted eight points and 19 rebounds, while Suttles had eight points and five steals. That's the most steals Suttles has posted since back in December of 2023.
Blair County Christian's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 18.7 points per game. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Blair County Christian has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 31.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Calvary Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 36.9 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Blair County Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Calvary Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 30-26 victory. Will Blair County Christian repeat their success, or does Calvary Christian Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
