Soccer Game Preview: Cate vs. Grace

The Cate Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Grace Lancers at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cate's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Cate is headed into Thursday's matchup following a draw, the team's first since December 12. Neither they nor St. Bonaventure could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Grace entered their tilt with Villanova Prep on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Wildcats 5-1. With Grace ahead 4-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Addison Cho and Scarlet Angel scored all five of Grace's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

Cate's draw gives them a new season record of 1-4-3. As for Grace, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4-2.

Cate couldn't quite get it done against Grace in their previous matchup back in December of 2025 as they fell 2-0. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
