Scituate and Hanover are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2022, but likely not for long. The Sailors are taking a road trip to square off against the Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Scituate came up short against Norwell on Monday, falling 8-2. That's two games in a row now that the Sailors have lost by exactly six runs.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Hanover nor Quincy made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Hawks never let the Presidents get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Presidents recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

The result came thanks to Cole Hendrickson's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hanover's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Joseph DaCosta, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Hanover's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Scituate, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Scituate couldn't quite get it done against Hanover when the teams last played back in April as they fell 3-0. Can the Sailors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
