Preview: Glendora Tartans vs. Garfield Bulldogs
The Glendora Tartans will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Garfield Bulldogs at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Glendora is coming into the match hot, having won their last 12 games.
Glendora has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 26 points or more this season. They breezed by Ayala at home to the tune of 65-18. With Glendora ahead 41-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
It was another big night for Rylie Anderson, who scored 24 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists. The matchup was her 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Martin, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Garfield didn't have too much breathing room in their match against La Serna last Friday, but they still walked away with a 50-46 victory. The victory was just what Garfield needed coming off of a 62-27 loss in their prior match.
Glendora's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Garfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Glendora against Garfield when the teams last played back in December of 2018 as the team secured a 64-33 win. With Glendora ahead 34-14 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
