Preview: East Nicolaus Spartans vs. Durham Trojans
Two dominant players in Rylee Gillespie and Payton Santos are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The East Nicolaus Spartans will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Durham Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Wednesday, East Nicolaus was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 42-37 to Pierce.
Meanwhile, Durham was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 55-51 to Colusa. Durham has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
East Nicolaus' defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8. As for Durham, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-9.
East Nicolaus beat Durham 41-34 when the teams last played on January 3rd. Will East Nicolaus repeat their success, or does Durham have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
