Basketball Recap: Shenandoah Valley Comes Up Short

After flying high against Nativity BVM last Thursday, Shenandoah Valley came back down to earth. The Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils had to suffer through a 49-11 loss at the hands of Marian Catholic. The Blue Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-3.

Marian Catholic's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addy Marek, who went 6 for 13 on her way to 13 points along with eight boards and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Addison Fritz, who went 5 of 10 en route to 12 points and six rebounds.

Shenandoah Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Marian Catholic, their victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-2.

As of now, neither Shenandoah Valley nor Marian Catholic have any future games scheduled.
