Basketball Recap: The Webb Schools Comes Up Short

The Webb Schools played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 60-19 defeat at the hands of the Carson Colts. The Gauls were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-12.

Despite the loss, The Webb Schools still got an impressive performance from Pristine Thomas, who posted eight points in addition to 19 rebounds and five steals. Thomas is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Chijioke Mgbeke, who had five points.

This is the second loss in a row for The Webb Schools and nudges their season record down to 3-10. As for Carson, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.

The Webb Schools will square off against San Gabriel Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carson, they will challenge Rancho Dominguez at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
