Softball Game Preview: Rockford Warriors vs. Baxter

Rockford is on a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Baxter a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Rockford Warriors will be playing at home against Baxter at 5:00 p.m. Baxter took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Rockford, who comes in off a win.

Rockford is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS 19-4 on Tuesday. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by eight runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Baxter lost 16-3 to Riceville on Monday.

Rockford is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Baxter, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.
