Soccer Game Preview: Garey vs. Azusa

The Garey Vikings will head out on the road to square off against the Azusa Aztecs at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Garey's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Tuesday, Garey and Baldwin Park finished up their game with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Azusa hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They never let Sierra Vista onto the board and left with a 3-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Aztecs, who have now won seven contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Azusa pushed their record up to 13-0-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five matchups. With that draw, Garey's record moves to 9-5-3.

Garey came up short against Azusa when the teams last played on January 14th, falling 2-0. Can Garey avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
