Basketball Recap: Christian School of York's Loss Ends Nine-Game Winning Streak at Home

Christian School of York was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell just short of the Veritas Academy Monarch by a score of 37-35. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Christian School of York of the 41-38 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Christian School of York's loss came despite strong showings from Charleigh Atkinson and Kaitlynn Fuller. Atkinson dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards, while Fuller posted 12 points and six rebounds. Atkinson is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least nine every time she's taken the court this season.

Christian School of York's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-3. As for Veritas Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian School of York will venture away from home to take on Dayspring Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Veritas Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Harrisburg Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
