Softball Recap: Coahulla Creek Comes Up Short

Coahulla Creek was the 5-1 winner over Union County when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Colts fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Coahulla Creek's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Union County, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Coahulla Creek is set to face off against their familiar foe Sonoraville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Colts are on a three-game streak of home wins, the Phoenix a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. Meanwhile, Union County will take on rival Rockmart at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2.7, the Yellowjackets 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
