Soccer Recap: Futures Takes a Loss

Futures's game on Thursday was all tied up 3-3 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Sacramento Waldorf Waves by a score of 4-3. The defeat continues a trend for Futures in their meetings with Sacramento Waldorf: they've now lost four in a row.

Nazar Demkov wasn't going to let Sacramento Waldorf walk away unscathed as he scored all three of Futures' goals, bringing his season total up to 22 goals.

Futures' loss dropped their record down to 4-8-3. As for Sacramento Waldorf, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2-2 record this season.

Futures will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Forest Lake Christian at 4:00 p.m. As for Sacramento Waldorf, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 4-0 victory against Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning on the 17th.
