Berrien hasn't had much luck against Fitzgerald recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Berrien Rebels will head out to take on the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane at 7:00 p.m. Berrien is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.

Berrien took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 4-0 margin over Bacon County. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Rebels were the better team in the second half.

They hit Bacon County with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Bryson Harper, Omar Garcia, Julian Nabakowski, and Greysen Strickland.

Meanwhile, Fitzgerald didn't have quite enough to beat Pierce County on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Purple Hurricane have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fitzgerald's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Berrien, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Berrien skirted past Fitzgerald 3-2 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Berrien since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
