Papillion-LaVista's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They didn't even let the Lincoln Northeast Rockets on the board, marking the Monarchs' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The Monarchs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by seven runs or more this season.

Papillion-LaVista gave Chloe Cannon the start and clearly made the right call: she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Maizey Carpenter was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Taylor Hollenbach, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Papillion-LaVista's victory bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Lincoln Northeast, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Papillion-LaVista wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 8-0 win against Platte County on the 19th. Hopefully Lincoln Northeast paid attention to the Monarchs' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Monarchs at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
