The La Jolla Country Day Torreys just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Brentwood School Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brentwood School took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on La Jolla Country Day, who comes in off a win.

La Jolla Country Day is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Santiago. The Torreys simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Sharks 54-19. The win continues a trend for the Torreys in their matchups with the Sharks: they've now won four in a row.

La Jolla Country Day's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Atlanta Bass-Sulpizio led the charge by shooting 80% from the field to rack up 18 points and five boards. That's the most points Bass-Sulpizio has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Safiyah Sugapong, who scored 11 points and three steals.

La Jolla Country Day smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Brentwood School came up short against Valencia on Saturday and fell 68-58.

La Jolla Country Day will need to focus on slowing down Jessica Liu, one of several Brentwood School players who made an impact when they last played. She went 6-for-12 on her way to 18 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Kelsey Sugar, who put up 14 points and seven steals.
