Recap: Walnut Mustangs vs. Wilson Wildcats

The Walnut Mustangs won the last time they faced the Wilson Wildcats, and things went their way on Thursday too. Walnut enjoyed a cozy 58-40 victory over Wilson. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Walnut.

Walnut's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kameryn Perea-saupan led the charge by scoring 19 points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that Perea-saupan scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maileeh Suasti, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds.

Walnut is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Wilson, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-13.
