Baseball Recap: Skyridge Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Skyridge walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mountain Ridge Sentinels on Monday, sneaking past 11-9. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Sentinels recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Tate Young looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Miles Robinson, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Boston Sundberg was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double.

Skyridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2025.

Skyridge's record is now 17-12. As for Mountain Ridge, they moved to 21-7 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.
