It's playoff time, and East Lincoln had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Franklin Panthers on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Mason Clark got the start for East Lincoln and what a start it was: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Clark has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Tanner Matile, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Brandon Washington was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

East Lincoln kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Franklin only managed seven.

East Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Franklin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.

East Lincoln didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-9 loss against Crest on the 12th. Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
