Softball Recap: Central Wins Going Away Against Northeast

Central won the last time they faced Northeast and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Chargers were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Raiders. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

JaMyree Simmons made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Simmons was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in August.

Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win got Central back to even at 10-10. As for Northeast, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Looking ahead, Central will head out to challenge Rutland at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Northeast has already played their next contest (against the Hawks), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
