Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Patriots vs. Mitchell Kernels

The Lincoln Patriots will venture away from home to challenge the Mitchell Kernels at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Lincoln's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

On Tuesday, Lincoln didn't have too much trouble with Washington as they won 70-55. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Mitchell ended up a good deal behind Huron on Tuesday and lost 51-36. The matchup marked the Kernels' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Mitchell and nudges their season record down to 5-5. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0.

Lincoln came up short against Mitchell in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, falling 55-51. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
