Basketball Recap: Alta Loma Finds Playoff Glory Versus Glendale

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Alta Loma had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-53 win over the Glendale Nitros. The victory was familiar territory for the Braves, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Alta Loma found their leader in freshman Britain Hall, who went 7-for-13 from beyond the arc en route to 40 points in addition to five boards and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hall has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Geary, who posted two points along with six steals and five rebounds.

Alta Loma's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Glendale, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season.

Looking ahead, Alta Loma will take on Lawndale at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Glendale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
