Softball Recap: Jenkins County Takes a Loss

Jenkins County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Thomas Jefferson Academy Jaguars, falling 12-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 on Thursday.

Jenkins County's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Thomas Jefferson Academy, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Jenkins County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Thomas Jefferson Academy, they will challenge Trinity Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.67 runs per game on average), something the Jaguars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
