Football Recap: Worthington Comes Up Short

Worthington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a blow against the Belle Plaine Tigers, falling 31-0. The Trojans lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 20-14 score last time.

Worthington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Belle Plaine, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Worthington will take on Tri-City United [Montgomery-Lonsdale/Le Center] at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Titans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Belle Plaine, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Albert Lea at 7:00 p.m.
