Recap: Hesperia Scorpions vs. Adelanto Saints
The Hesperia Scorpions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Adelanto 66-27 at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hesperia also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
It was another big night for Berlynn Miramontes, who scored 32 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Annabel Sanchez, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Hesperia's win bumped their record up to 11-15. As for Adelanto, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-9.
Hesperia will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Oak Hills presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Scorpions in California (the Bulldogs are ranked 165th, while the Scorpions are ranked 550th). As for Adelanto, they will head out on the road to take on the Jackrabbits at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
