For the second straight game, Lakeside will face off against Woodward Academy. The Vikings will challenge the War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lakeside is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.

Lakeside is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Woodward Academy just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the War Eagles by a score of 6-5.

For Woodward Academy's part, they got a big performance out of Landon Walker, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Chance Dixon was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Woodward Academy's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Lakeside, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lakeside has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Woodward Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.7 strikeouts.
