Soccer Game Preview: Buena Park vs. Godinez Fundamental

The Buena Park Coyotes will take on the Godinez Fundamental Grizzlies at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Buena Park's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 18 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Monday just wasn't the day for Buena Park's offense. They came up short against Tustin on Monday, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 942nd, while the Tillers are ranked 458th).

Meanwhile, Godinez Fundamental unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Kennedy. Considering the last time the Grizzlies couldn't score was back in December of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

Godinez Fundamental's loss dropped their record down to 10-5-4. As for Buena Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17-1.
