            Softball Recap: Westminster Wolves vs. Denver North Vikings        
        
		
        
        
            Westminster hadn't done well against Denver North recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. The Wolves were the clear victors by  an  11-3 margin over the Vikings. For the Wolves, this counts as revenge for the   17-5 victory the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in September of 2024.
 Ryanne Martin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and two unearned) runs on seven hits.
 At the plate,  Eva Muniz was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Magaly Santacruz Vasquez, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.

Westminster's first  win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Denver North, their  loss was their first of the  season and  makes their record 4-1.
 Coincidentally, Westminster and Denver North will both be playing Monarch the next time they take the field. The Wolves will head out to face the Coyotes at 9:00  a.m.  on Saturday, while the Vikings will head out to face them  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
