Heritage dropped their record down to 10-14 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 12-2 to the Calvary Christian Knights. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Hawks couldn't push the score so high this time.

Griggs Smith was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

As for Calvary Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-12 record this season. The win was familiar territory for they, who have now won three matchups in a row.

On Calvary Christian's side, Tommy Irving was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts Irving has posted since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Fitz Stone looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Calvary Christian got a massive performance out of Nate Osborne, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI Osborne has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Brooks, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

As of now, neither Heritage nor Calvary Christian have any future games scheduled.
