Softball Game Preview: North Forsyth Raiders vs. West Forsyth Wolverines

After both having extra time off, the North Forsyth Raiders and the West Forsyth Wolverines will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

West Forsyth will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: North Forsyth extended their winning streak to five last Thursday. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over Forsyth Central.

Meanwhile, West Forsyth got the win against North Atlanta last Wednesday by a conclusive 8-1. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won six in a row.

Elizabeth Bare spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Chloe Hamlin was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Tenley Lynch was another key player, going 1-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

North Forsyth's record now sits at 18-6. As for West Forsyth, their record is now 13-11.

North Forsyth suffered a grim 12-6 defeat to West Forsyth in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
