Volleyball Recap: Liberty Christian Academy Comes Up Short

If Liberty Christian Academy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Providence Classical Christian Academy on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Liberty Christian Academy fell just short of Eagle Ridge Christian by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Liberty Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Eagle Ridge Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Liberty Christian Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Eagle Ridge Christian into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22, 22-25, 20-25, 15-11.

Caroline Keller paced Liberty Christian Academy's offense, picking up 14 kills. Keller got some help from Trina Scheltens and her 26 assists. Marielle Moss controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Liberty Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Eagle Ridge Christian, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Liberty Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Thomas Jefferson School on the 12th. Eagle Ridge Christian has also already played their next game (against New Life Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
