Soccer Game Preview: Mountain View vs. Orem

The Mountain View Bruins will challenge the Orem Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Mountain View's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Orem has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Mountain View's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Summit Academy as they made off with an 8-0 win. Considering Mountain View have won five matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Summit Academy from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Leah Olsen led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, while the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was Provo who was credited with the victory on Thursday. The Bulldogs got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Orem's four.

Mountain View's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Orem, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Mountain View beat Orem by a goal when the teams last played on September 9th, winning 2-1. Will the Bruins repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
