Union extends home losing streak to four

Recap: Union Knights/Damsels vs. Keystone Panthers

The Union Knights/Damsels lost against the Keystone Panthers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Union took a 56-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Keystone. Union has struggled against Keystone recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Union saw an underclassman step up: Madalyn Dehart dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dehart has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Strauser, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.

Even though they lost, Union were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Union bumped their record down to 2-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Keystone, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union will take on Karns City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Karns City presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Union in Pennsylvania (Karns City is ranked 227th, while Union is ranked 638th). As for Keystone, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Clarion Area at 5:30 p.m.
