Lone Grove put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's sixth consecutive shutout on Thursday. They never let the Purcell Dragons get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Considering the Longhorns have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Lone Grove pushed their record up to 21-3 with the win, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Purcell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lone Grove will host Sulphur at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Longhorns' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Purcell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dibble at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
