Baseball Recap: Greely Takes a Loss

Greely blew Cape Elizabeth out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday Cape Elizabeth got their revenge. The Rangers fell just short of the Capers by a score of 9-7. That's two games in a row now that the Rangers have lost by exactly two runs.

Greely is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4. As for Cape Elizabeth, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Greely is set to face off against their familiar foe Fryeburg at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cape Elizabeth will challenge rival Yarmouth at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
