Baseball Game Preview: Richmond Blue Devils vs. Fraser Ramblers

The Richmond Blue Devils will face off against the Fraser Ramblers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Richmond's pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so Fraser's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Richmond is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Athens just ended the team's 25-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 6-2 to the Red Hawks. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Blue Devils couldn't push the score so high this time.

The home team had come away the winner the last seven times Fraser and Utica had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Ramblers walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Chieftains on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Ramblers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Fraser's victory bumped their record up to 16-13. As for Richmond, their loss dropped their record down to 27-2.

Richmond beat Fraser 13-9 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Ramblers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
