Flag Football Recap: Roosevelt's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

After losing to Norco the last time they met, Roosevelt decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mustangs secured an 18-13 W over the Cougars on Monday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Mustangs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 226th, while the Cougars are ranked 106th).

Although Norco took the loss, they still got scores from Kennington Moreno and Ryley Rocheleau.

The win (which was Roosevelt's third in a row) raised their record to 8-9. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.0 points on average over those games. As for Norco, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.

Roosevelt wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 30-25 win against Poly on the 7th. As for Norco, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Corona at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
