Cale Holthaus gave up the fewest hits he has since back in April on Saturday. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Holthaus and Monticello will take on St. Cloud Cathedral at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
