Baseball Recap: Montgomery County Comes Up Short

Montgomery County fell victim to Appling County and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 14-0 to the Pirates. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Montgomery County's record is now 3-17. As for Appling County, their win bumped their record up to 15-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montgomery County will head out to take on East Laurens at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Appling County, they will venture away from home to square off against Cook at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pirates 4, the Hornets 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
