The Stone Ridge Christian Knights won the last time they faced the Denair Coyotes, and things went their way on Friday too. Stone Ridge Christian put the hurt on Denair with a sharp 57-33 win. Given Stone Ridge Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 533rd, while Denair is ranked 1138th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bella Ewing continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Stone Ridge Christian's points. Cali Cole was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Denair lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cloey Ellerd, who scored 12 points. Ellerd scored a full 36.4% of Denair's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Piper Northcutt, who scored ten points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Stone Ridge Christian and bumps their season record up to 3-2. As for Denair, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
