Basketball Recap: Estancia Comes Up Short

Estancia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Loara Saxons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-34 back in December of 2024.

Sophia Rangel was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 25 boards for Loara. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Rangel has scored at least a third of Loara's points. Another player making a difference was Dulce Espinoza, who posted ten points along with eight rebounds and seven assists.

Estancia's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Loara, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-13.

Estancia has already played their next game (against Savanna), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Loara has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Anaheim.
