Soccer Game Preview: Dalton vs. Kell

The Dalton Catamounts will take on the Kell Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Dalton's favor as the team sits on nine straight wins at home while Kell has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.

Dalton will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Southeast Whitfield County on Thursday. The Catamounts blew past the Raiders 4-1. The result was nothing new for Dalton, who have now won 11 games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Kell kept a clean sheet against Etowah on Friday. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 4-0 win.

Kell has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those five contests. As for Dalton, their win bumped their record up to 15-1.

Dalton beat Kell by a goal when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 2-1. Do the Catamounts have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Longhorns turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
