Soccer Game Preview: Avon Lake vs. Brecksville-Broadview Heights

The Avon Lake Shoremen will square off against the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Avon Lake is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.

Avon Lake barely beat Berea-Midpark the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Shoremen never let the Titans get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Wednesday. It was an even better day for Luke Bellenir as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Brecksville-Broadview Heights faced Twinsburg in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Bees had just enough and edged out the Tigers 2-1. The game was the first time Brecksville-Broadview Heights have beaten Twinsburg on their pitch since September 8, 2015.

The win made it two in a row for Avon Lake and bumps their season record up to 13-1-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two matches. As for Brecksville-Broadview Heights, their win bumped their record up to 9-2-2.
