Softball Recap: Fayette County Takes a Loss

Fayette County fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Haralson County on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 3-2. The Tigers lost against the Rebels in their previous head to head back in August of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 26-0 score last time.

Fayette County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was E Patton, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

Fayette County now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Haralson County, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Fayette County has the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Bremen at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Haralson County, they will take on Starr's Mill in a tournament on Saturday.
