Softball Recap: Fillmore Central Comes Up Short

Fillmore Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 10-0 to the Freeman Falcons.

Fillmore Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Calli Gonzales, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Fillmore Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Freeman, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8.

Looking ahead, Fillmore Central will challenge Blue River at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Blue River's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Fillmore Central's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Freeman, they have already played their next contest, a 5-2 victory against Wilber-Clatonia on the 11th.
