Basketball Recap: Bayard Rustin Golden Knights vs. Central Bucks West Bucks

The Bayard Rustin Golden Knights waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins but they left with four. Everything went their way against Central Bucks West as Bayard Rustin made off with a 60-38 victory. Given Bayard Rustin's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Bucks are ranked 332nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bayard Rustin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Riley Stackhouse, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Stackhouse is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sara Betchyk, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.

Bayard Rustin is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Central Bucks West, their defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-14.

Bayard Rustin will head out on the road to challenge the Blue Demons at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Kennett will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Central Bucks West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
